Cattery.
We
are a small, family run cattery located in Eastern Massachusetts.
Our cats are
part of our family and live with us and our kids. We live, work, and play
with cats and kittens underfoot, under the covers, on
our laps, and in our arms. Our Burmese cats have given us much
love and joy over the years, and our goal is to share the joy of
living with European Burmese cats with others.
Our cattery is named after our first Burmese cat, Crystal. Crystal
came to live with us as a kitten almost 20 years ago. Crystal
taught us that European Burmese cats and kittens are very intelligent
and are always curious about what their favorite people are doing.
They
follow us around and will come when they are called by name.
The European Burmese cat’s need for affection is only outdone
by their willingness to give it. They can be a wonderful
lap cat at one moment and in the next be entertaining
you with all sorts of antics. One of our cats, Cabernet, retrieves
her
favorite
toy, drags it up and down the stairs and then drops it at our
feet and looks up at us with a look of eager anticipation.
The Burmese Cat Society says it best: “Playful, energetic,
acrobatic and highly intelligent, the Burmese cat is the extrovert
of the Cat Fancy. They are very mischievous, but they love people
and they are tuned in to the needs of their owners. Once you
have known a Burmese you have a lifelong passion for the breed.”
